讲解内容:定语从句(关系代词that,which,who 在句中担任主语或宾语
(按传统的讲法,我会通过几个定语从句的例句很快就进入语法点的讲解,孤立语言的环境和使用意义。)
Teaching procedures.
因字数关系,教学步骤中省略调动气氛等语句。
I. Lead in.
   Show some pictures to help students to get a general understanding about what the Attributive Clause is and the function of it .
   T:Can you tell me what’s the picture about?
学生的回答主要会集中在简单句上,老师要引导他们把两个简单句连成复合句,并介绍引入定语从句。

S:He is Yao Ming. S:He was born in Shanghai.
T:He is a player who was born in Shanghai and is playing in NBA now.
插入一幅画的图片
S:This is a picture.  S:I like it best.
T:This is a picture which I like best.
在学生参与回答的时候,简明扼要解释这几个关系代词的主要区别,并引导学生正确使用。
加入其它例子,两个例子绝对不够的,这一步的引入非常重要,要一直达到学生敢自己开口试用定语才能结束。
 Step2. Help students understand the function of Attributive Clause
学生分组进行情景活动。
Task1:与口语结合:可以提供相关情景,这一步强化训练希望达到加强定语从句语感的效果,可以从教材上选择例子。主要进行人与物的描述。
            Eg: Situation one : Work in groups of 4. Your group has been asked to introduce a famous star to other students. Prepare a role card and let other students guess who he or she is.
                或者根据学生的情况降低难度,例如:
     Mrs. Green got married last month. She is learning to be a good wife. But she really has a headache about buying, keeping and cooking food. Can you give her some advice?
        1) Don’t/buy/the potatoes/are green
        2) buy your food/from shopkeepers/are always busy
        3) choose/the fresh fish/eyes/are bright
        4) while cooking, put everything/in a place/ you can find it easily
             English.
            Step 3.归纳总结
                在进行充分的认识后进行适当的语言知识归纳学习是必要的。归纳定语从句特点,几个关系代词的区别,以达到规范学生使用的目的。
     1.什么是定语从句?
2.被定语从句修饰的名词或代词叫先行词。连接先行词与定语从句的引导词叫关系词,其中 which, that, who, whom, whose 这些词叫关系代词,它们在句中用来指人或事物,在定语从句中作主语或宾语。
3.以上关系代词在使用时也是有很多区别的。(请同学们看下面的句子, 然后说出使用关系代词 that 的原因。)
A.All that is worth doing should be done well.
B.The only thing that she could do was to ask the police for help.
C.We will never forget the first lesson that our English teacher gave us.
D.What is the smallest thing that can be seen under a microscope?
E.The visitors spoke highly of the children and the performances that they saw.
F.Who is the person that let out the secret?
4.下面讲一下只能用关系代词 which 引导的定语从句。
A.在非限制性定语从句中, 指物时只能用 which 不能用 that。
B.在定语从句中, 介词+关系代词引导定语从句指物时, 只能用 which 不能用 that。
  
Task 2. 结合写作(课堂时间不够可以成为课外练习)
  可以结合多个写作标题,进行有目的的部分写作训练。
例如: 山东卷题目:应聘英语记者
 自己要到一家英语报社去应聘英语记者,请按照应聘书的要求,写一篇英语应聘书!
要求学生作文中要有定语从句。
教师要对学生的定语从句的使用要进行适当的评价。
以上教学仅仅属于显性学习,在有一定的基础积累后教师应该加入隐性教学。例如读含有定语从句的故事,在教师口语中经常加入定语从句,使学生在语言上自然接受定语从句。
